Probably the Kmart S 4000. It's not especially expensive or rare, and it's just a pong clone. I love the design of it though, by far the best looking /vr/ item I own.

I spent way too long looking at the pics and trying to decide if it was flooding aftermath or just typical /vr/ hoarding.
Definitely some flooding but I doubt it was much more organized before that.

Probably a Twin Famicom, but the other cool/rare thing is this Fable 1 PC collector's edition that was only released in Poland for some reason. Fairly niche item that not many people care about, but only 500 were made so that's kinda interesting.

Same here, still have my Super Mario Land and original Game Boy. Both still work although my youngest brother was sadly not exactly gentle with the DMG. Still mad that my Aunt ripped the Nintendo repair sticker off the battery cover of the Game Boy because she wanted to identify it as ours and not her nieces.

That's really cool. Never could get into Fable but I can appreciate a nice big box edition.

Boxed Atari Lynx which I've had since new. Pretty hard to say just one thing. I'm particularly fond of my original boxed games I kept in good condition, I was fairly old when our family was allowed to have video games so I knew to keep valuable things in good condition. A lot of stuff I like isn't even all that valuable such as the late 90's budged boxed pc games I have.

>> No.8648559

Eh, my collection doesn't really have much valuable. I'd say wario ware twisted, or my AGS-101. Super Metroid? I just traded in all my trade fodder, and shit label collected gameboy/snes games for a boxed Genesis 2 at the local game store. Would never pay for that shit, but feels cool to own something finally complete.. I guess? I feel like an implusive monkey for trading a bunch of things in. Obviously overall I lost money, but at the same time I just traded a bunch of shovelware all at once in for an item that should be way easier to resale and hold value if need be.

Probably my beige Power Mac, because it was our first computer and my dad (who is no longer with me) taught me how to use it. I'm fond of my SNES, N64, PS2 and Gamecube, but I really, really love the Power Mac just because of those memories.

>>8648221
>I'm particularly fond of my original boxed games I kept in good condition

I had all the boxes for my games until my mom threw them out while I was in university. She called them "clutter", even though they were just sitting on a shelf not really bothering anyone. Only 3 of my childhood games have the complete box and manual, down from probably 20.

Ah and now I see for most people nostalgia, and memories are what makes an item truly valuable. Sadly my family moved ever three years and my parents were all about throwing old things out. Nothing survived except for my childhood blanket. :(

>> No.8648905

SNES or PS1. Both are my originals, and have traveled a long way with me. If I still had my NES I would have all of my childhood consoles, but it was thrown away when it stopped working back in the 90's, before I knew about fixing shit. PS1 is still on it's original laser, is modchipped, still plays burnt games without issues, 75xx model, have Game Shark(not UniROM'd since I don't need it), PS1 Mouse, two Dual Shock controllers and four memory cards. SNES is RGB-02 model, still un-yellowed since I didn't let it get near the sun ever, have SNES Mouse, two controllers, and Super Everdrive V2 without DSP chip installed(but I can put a DSP chip in from some crappy donor game if I want Pilotwings that badly). PS1 will eventually be ODE'd when the laser finally dies, and I plan on upgrading to an FXPAK Pro sooner or later.

I somehow got a sealed MGS1 guide when I ordered one used off amazon. It even has a sealed multi-demo disc attached on the back.
I don't know how much it's worth but I really wanted to read through it and see the old 3d map renders like in pic related. Oh well.

Other than that: A sealed copy of The Neverhood, a not for resale PS2 review copy of SotC, and a PAL copy of Gex 1.

I fell in love with the Kiki Kaikai games a few years back and I have both of the SFC titles, the PC Engine game and the one on GBA. I love the two on the SFC so much. Also this doujinshi book that has interviews with the creators of the game plus art and stuff. What a wonderful little series.

Whenever I see this I wonder how much of it could be saved by thourough cleaning.
As long there was no voltage and the water wasn't too corrosive it should be possible to remove the gunk from the boards and they could still work. Artwork, boxes screens etc are a lost cause tough.

CIB Commodore 64 with the 1541 drive. I got it from the original owner like 10 years back for $20. It came with some floppies with his favorite games. I’m not usually looking to buy CIB sets because I’m not a coomlector, but I can’t get rid of this box since I have it. Feels like a burden, but I also like that I’ve got it.

My first console was my dad's hand me down purple GBC so I bought one in great condition to display. I think it's Cool.
I bought a Luigi Mario Party 5 plush from Nintendo World in like 2007 and they go for hundreds even in bad quality today so I feel some little happy spark knowing that even if I'll never sell it
