Why half of the threads on /vr/ are always about technical stuff like clone consoles, FPGA, CRTs, scanlines, emulators, save states and Sega Saturn?

/vr/ was invaded by discord and reddit trannys/furrys a couple of years back. You can still find a good thread in the catalog on occasion tho.

It's because there's more hoop-jumping involved with this section of the hobby than playing modern games. Of course a massive chunk of the conversations are going to be about navigating the hoops.
