I've got a working Wii (and Gamecube) sitting in my closet but for some reason I have no urge to dive into the cube's library. Once I turned 12 I completely lost interest in the system, at least the games I had for it. Never been a big nintendo guy.
To be fair I don't know what I'm missing out on since a game like RE4 wouldn't have appealed to me back then. And I'm on a 4th/5th gen binge lately with some Dreamcast sprinkled in.

If you aren't the biggest Nintendo guy, I'm not really sure if it's worth digging into the GC just for that. Luv me the Metroid Prime series, and I have a soft spot in my heart for Wind Waker and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. But the GC library is more of a bonus on top of playing damn near every 4th gen console via Wii homebrew on a CRT.

Yeah. Syndication rights for reruns were expensive so it stayed on in prime-time for a solid decade after it went off the air. They started releasing season box sets on DVD around 2003/04 and it was very popular.

Pokemon and the gamecube are both trash and a waste of time. There are many better games and systems out there, keep looking.
