Hardly. Madoff embezzled billions from billionaires, not some small fry shit. Kenneth Lay literally had Californians sitting through out the summer without power with his Enron shit to make bank and people in old folks homes dropping like flies to get bank. Trump's leaked tax returns show he lost an insane amount of money in the 80s. His dad didn't just give him a million dollar loan, he propped him up through his 40s and 50s as Trump made shit decisions, giving him well over a billion in today's dollars. And yet he becomes POTUS based of a reputation for being a business genius, and gets credit for being super harsh on migration despite illegal crossings actually hitting a 13 year high in 2019, no wall, and his party having full control of government for 24 months and holding not one (1) vote on migration reform, not even token shit (gotta love people who work for nothing and keep rents high). He arguably has the greatest grift of all time in as much as he was elected for his business image which was faked, although I think he was elected for his persona more.

Goldman Sachs issued shit securities to pension plans stamped AAA by rating agencies, then bet against them because they knew they were going to fail.
