I remember growing up even Nintendo Power said that Bebe's Kids was the worst NES game. I never saw them go after any other product, myself. I may still have the issue, but I don't believe I'll go looking, there's just too damn many of them.

I think it was a shitty cartoon movie too.

It was never released for the NES. Either you're remembering wrong or this is a typo and you meant to type "worst Super NES game." It's only on the Super Nintendo.

He's mistaken about the platform, but they absolutely did shit on this game. I recall in the 100th issue they listed off the 10 worst games, and this one was tops, even beat out shit like Color a Dinosaur. Said you'd be better off using Bebe's Kids as a hockey puck than as a game.

Nothing to say about Color a Dinosaur either way. It's just a young kid's game. Bebe's Kids on the other hand is clearly in the beat 'em up genre. Every game in that genre has no excuse but to be at least competent in comparison to Double Dragon, Streets of Rage or Final Fight.

I think it's definitely one of the worst Beat 'Em Up games of all time. I might make a thread soon for worst retro Beat 'Em Ups when I can think of more examples to start it with.

This game was a pile of shit, but it really wouldn't be that bad if the combat wasn't so barebones and the enemies weren't such damage sponges. It takes so fucking long to KO enemies that the time runs out before you can beat the level.

At least it has some amusing sprites and background art.
