What's the best way to play this? What emulator should I use? There is something wrong with the textures on ePSXe. Should I just say fuck it and buy it on PSN to play on PS3?

True story, wanted to play this for the first time, was going to drop money to get the actual CD and play it on my PS3 that plays PS1 games.

Friend tells me this path

Buy a junk PSP for $20
Flash the memory card and make it an EMULATOR MONSTER
Play Mega Man Legends lag, load and bug free with roms found online

Enjoy your life with a PSP that can play PS1,NES,GB,GBC,GBA, Master System, Genesis, Game Gear, Lynx and more

All for $20. Never looked back

Already have a PSP but one mouthbreather that I know took it to play a game that mouthbreathers like him usually play (you know the game) and fucking broke the analogue stick. I kinda don't feel like buying another one. Oh hadn't MML come out before Dualshock was a thing? Because if yes then I think I can play it on my PSP. The only problem is that there are no L2 or R2 buttons on this system
As for other emulation like NES, Game Boys and SNES I have a N3DS

Get retroarch, download mednafen (now called Beetle) it is the most accurate PS1 emulator. That's basically it.

Sounds you like friend and money problems.

I am sorry about your life, maybe Mega Man Legends is the least of your worries

Oh cool, what about Duckstation? Never tried it but people say it's good

Living in Russia is synonimous to having money issues.
>Mega Man Legends is the least of your worries
Not it's literally the opposite. I constantly need to be playing vidya after work because otherwise I want to kill myself

Synonymous with I meant fuck

Should have killed that friend, it's Russia, I am sure there is a local body pit for the mentally ill

Maybe. This is probably one of the main reasons I fucking despise Persona. Like how in the world do you even fuck up the analogue stick while playing it? Almost all JRPGs aside from final bosses and bonus dungeons can be beaten by pressing one damn button

Duckstation is good if you want to have higher quality models and other settings you can tweak. I don't really tweak things much though so I prefer the games to just be accurate and playable. I think Duckstation can be a little unstable with some games and crash, it was happening a bit with Silent Hill 1. But maybe someone who has used it more can chime in a bit. Have fun anon, MML is a blast.

I will! The game looks great. What about the PC version though? Something wrong with it?

I've never heard of it honestly so I guess that's out of the scope of my knowledge but I'd like to know more about it too if anyone else could chip in. But yea it is great both of the games have amazing soul.

PC version has weird sound issues which make it a very unpleasant experience. Not really worth it. For the PS1 version however, a protip: press the d-pad in any direction and tap circle to snap the camera to that direction. Should solve any shortcomings you have with the camera.

on vita / ps3 you can set the second analog to turn which make the tank controls better... emulator probably supports that too
