Anyone have this experience?
>play FFX when it comes out
>enjoy, play the game and get most of the extras
>talk about it with friends
>probably top 5 FF games
>finish the game
>Literally never play it again and can barely remember the story and game play

This only happens to me with new and cinematic games, gameplay oriented games with little to no story stay deep in my brain since it's really easy to memorize each move and the locations
The focus relies on you the player and not some story that you don't care about in the first place and only tries to trigger your emotions with cutscenes

I actually have almost entirely the opposite experience. I play it every few years even though it's not even really in my top 3 FFs, never knew anyone personally who played it, I know pretty much everything about it but I've never gotten all the extras and rarely do I actually finish it on replays.

i wanted to love this game because i love the visuals (water, coastal beachside fantasy appeals hugely to me) but i hated all the characters except for wakka and the plot sucked ass. dropped 2/3 in. Battle system was pretty cool though wish it was faster.

Don't know what's with all the recent unwarranted hate or "it was not that good" faggotry is going on but its absurd. FFX is one of the best games of all time. There is no debate whether its good or not. You either have shit taste or a zoom zoom because FFX is still better than modern JRPGs.
