Just finished this game for the first time yesterday. Previously I've been seeing people post about howw annoying it is to protect Ashley, but I didn't really feel that's the case. She's not even in the game most of the time. And when she is, many tiems you can tell her to hide and other times you can just let her stand somewhere. Not really an issue overall.

The only reference to Ashley's age in-game is a text file. She's the only character that guides, manuals, and supplementary material constantly say is 20 years old. I think she's originally envishioned as a high schooler like an anime character but they realized this might cause problems. She has 1 total crediting for any media, and that's RE4. Leon in RE4 is a bit like Ashley Williams in Army Of Darkness, confident action hero with a quick wit (probably more confident, and a bit less quippy/banty). He's a pretty straightforward action hero, and a well done one. Actually, RE4 in general is a lot like Army Of Darkness, in that it's a sequel to a couple of much more straight horror entries, which diverges a lot from their tone and style by becoming a very exaggerated action adventure.
