I have no idea how this song ended up so good for a chaotic racing game.

Loved everything about that song while racing. Every song on the list is gold when mixed with the Burnout 3 gameplay though. When I saw Orpheus I basically put that on repeat so I could pretend I was playing the music video.
But my personal favourite became this one:

The Burnout 3 soundtrack was so embarrassing both me and my high school art teacher returned it within a week of it coming out. Sucks too, because the first game sounded great.

this, burnout 1 & 2 have nice original music while 3's is all literally taken from a pack of 'HOT NU EMO HITZ' from winmx
it's not even the fact it's all emo/pop-punk for sad middle class kids, ea just suck at licensed soundtracks in general, NFSU1/2 are also chock full of garbage

>burnout 1 & 2 have nice original music
I don't know about Burnout 1 but B2 soundtrack is lackluster, that effect where music changes when you boost is pretty nice, but the whole thing sounds so generic. B3 has fagshit emo music, yes, the true is that normally I wouldn't touch 80% of these bands with a ten-foot pole but on the actual game it sounds great.

>> No.7864237

b3 is a very good game but the soundtrack sucks ASS(however i liked dj strykers commentary), its funny when you realize criterion had all this original music planned and then they had to put emo crap which does not fit in a racing game at all, and thats something i never understood, why put emo music in a fucking racing game the target demographics dont fit neither does the tone, flatout 2 had rob zombie in it which fits way better by comparison to any of this shit, ok i get it burnout 3 is an arcade racer and maybe they wanted to capture that fucking crazy taxi demographic who doesnt really care about cars but then you have the nfs games of the time(especially hot pursuit 2 and most wanted) which are full of that crap, funniest part is how you cant actually disable some songs in burnout 3's ea trax

>> No.7864618

What's nice about the B3 soundtrack is it perfectly catches the death of rock music as a genre. Landfill indie and shitty emo that no one wants to listen to, soulless, phoney overwrought nothing strictly for the middle classes. S to spit.

If the soundtrack really bothers you the Xbox version lets you change the soundtrack to whatever songs you like, same with Burnout 2 and a bunch of other games.

It's basically the Burnout theme. It was reused for the title screen of Revenge 360, a longer version as the theme for Dominator, and a new theme with the same motif for Paradise.
