Honestly, I love this console. I recently bought it + Mischief Makers for around $50. But replaying MM made me depressed. The D-Pad feels so fucking good but barely any games used it.
I don't think there's one game that uses the D-Pad plus Stick combo besides S&P.
>Used carts so barely any third parties
>Muh 3D so most games only stuck with using the stick plus buttons
>Barely any 2D games that would've played amazing with the D-Pad and the six buttons
It had so much potential.
But in a way I'm glad it used carts, those shits are practically inmortal.

It's like a better SNES D-Pad, honestly.

Check out Resident Evil 2. If you're really getting into the system I would buy a rumble pak to play it with.

I bought one a year ago to finally pass Majoras Masks without the use of glitches in the game.

I purchased a Japanese N64 from Yahoo Japan auctions with an expansion pack and 2 controllers for 50 USD. Shit just the expansion pack goes for 40 USD on eBay. Modifying the inner tray so it could play US games was easy.

I ended up also buying a copy of Majoras Mask and Ocarina both for 10 USD from Yahooo Japan auctions since they were so cheap. I still ended up buying the collectors versions of Majora and Ocarina from eBay since they are the only games I really wanted to replay on the console. I've never owned the collectors edition of Ocarina before.

I'll look into it. Does Mega Man Legends run well on 64?
>>7361878
Nice dude. I thought of getting a JP one too since you just need to remove a plastic tab or something and it'll run US games, but shipping stuff here is way too expensive.
N64 games are still relatively cheap here going for like $30, but the guy I bought the N64 and M. Makers from said he bought Majora for like $60, with the holo label and everything.

No =(
It was bad even in it's time. Whenever action happens on screen the framerate crawls and the actual gameplay slows down. It feels terrible to play. it's not worth it.

goldeneye and perfect dark let you move with the d-pad and aim with the stick

don't listen to the other faggot. it runs perfectly fine; some dips in large/action-heavy areas but not any worse than your average 5th gen game, plus you get some extra features, the graphics are better (outside of draw distance) and I prefer using the N64 controller. good version of the game IMO.

I don't hate the controller. I understand what the three grips are for and once you understand that it isn't very annoying at all.

It's as lofi as 3D gaming gets and I love it. Wish I wouldn't have sold mine.

I think you can even do a dual prong scheme right

I'll try to find a cart for it then
