Nah, the Genesis won the first half of its generation overall but by 1994 it was clear the SNES was superior in every way except for clock speed (even then the SNES could handle slightly more instructions per second when coded properly). Yeah I love the Genesis sound chip but it's pretty bad that there are sounds that the Genesis is flat out incapable of accurately making, also every game uses like the same 10 sound effects and the much worse color palette is simply unacceptable. It's pretty telling that Castlevania Bloodlines from 1994 looks and sounds worse than Super Castlevania 4, a very early SNES game. It's not like Dreamcast where that console actually had some major advantages over the PS2 like much better textures and AA.
