I like CV, but it's far from perfect. Alexia is a great villain, but the final fight against her feels like shit because of how cramped the area is.

I realize the irony here given that RE1 Jill vs Chris runs and RE2 Claire vs Leon runs are basically the same thing but with some minor differences, but it really sucks building up all that momentum as Claire and then being forced to run through the same areas as Chris in the same playthrough. I would much rather choose to play as Claire or Chris, never both in the same same run.

the only prize you get after beating the main game are a mediocre minigame and the infinite rocket launcher in the main game(you do not get as a prize in the main game a infinite magnun, or a infinite submachine gun or infinite rifle). It’s a really good game and I’ve played it several times since release but as much as I enjoy it the second half really doesn’t live up to the first half. I think it is in the upper echelon of the franchise but it’s far from perfect.

It's a shit game that doesn't even use its own mechanics effectively. Molotovs are weak and shitty and bringing your partner anywhere is a good recipe for wasted bullets and health. Not to mention that the levels themselves are boring and uninspired. Face it, the developers themselves were tired of this formula. Everybody was tired. To white knight 6th gen RE outside of REmake is to white knight atrophy and a lack of inspiration itself.
