What happened to marios head?

Good. I don't want to spend all day talking to 9 year olds.

Something about that photo just seems staged. It looks like a sit-in was hired for the photo, but in reality its some fat guy.

If it was still running you'd only be talking to 35 year old manchildren.

All the new Mario games have a built in guide that will play the level for you if you die too much.

There would probably be some lonely person calling. Like those people who ask questions that could be easily answered with 10 seconds of Googling, just to make conversation.

Don't they have camwhores and onlyfans for those lonely souls these days?

I was for a day or so in a way..
..I called one day back in 1998 and it turned out that I was the first to get more coins "than allowed" on Wet Dry World. The Counselor, who was a woman, said I was her hero. She did ask me very nicely to explain in detail (padding the bill no doubt) exactly how I did it and I happily obliged. I think that call cost me around $35 of 1998 money, but I got my ego stroked by having "Nintendo" essentially tell me that I'm great. haha
This is even funnier when you consider that my feat was eclipsed more than a decade ago.

My dad worked for Nintendo hotline Back in the early 90s, out in New York. I’m 27 so yeah I’ll never be one and I was too young. But my dad was one, he still had his work jackets, and mugs, ect, they sit in my collection room now.

Nah, that guy looks just about right for the NP guys. Check the magazine. They used to run photos of the NP counselors in the section where people would write in asking for help with games. Hell, if we look at all the old mags, we might even be able to ID this guy.

I still think THOSE people might be stand ins. IIRC there was bullshit achievements too.

My older brother's best friend was a Nintendo counselor and then the team manager from 1989-1995.

Ask me anything.
