When are the builds ever gonna get released or leaked please. It's about to be 20 years since the 2001 e3 trailer and still nobody has leaked the game if Nintendo files can be leaked why can't this game.

Nintendo files exist on a server somewhere, not as files in a decaying hdd at the bottom of a box in a closet or storage locker.

I'm pretty sure there are some backups people have made over the span of 20 years

Randy Pitchford is specifically keeping the original files under lock and key in some dungeon somewhere due to licensing issues, no point in releasing it if he's gonna make a nickel instead of a dime

The reason why the DNF builds haven't been released can be explained with two words: Randy Pitchford.

give the files to the modding community so we get something like this but for the quake-engine Dook game:

Yeah, on a HDD in a closet somewhere. Anytime lost game media is recovered it's at an estate sale or some rando found it on a computer being recycled or something of that ilk. It's not something somebody can just violate policy and download off a database.

There's literally a guy who has it who posted this footage to /v/ a while ago

It'll probably never leak unless he wants to get sued to shit though.

Because George Broussard wanted Doom 3's lighting engine, and that meant they basically had to start over. One of the stupidest fucking decisions ever. In the time it took they could have polished off that game and started on DNF2,
