What's your favorite Bomberman game? For me it's been this. I'm aware it's apparently an inferior version of something from the Saturn and PC or something, but I never played those versions, just this.

I'd replace Super 3 with Neo.

Good taste. Mega Bomberman was awesome. I loved those little kangaroo things.
As far as a favorite I don't even know. I pretty much loved all of them ever since I played the first game all those years ago. One that many people don't seem to like, but I really enjoyed was Bomberman Jetters for GameCube

That one and an unopened copy of Generation are the only ones I own, but 64 (best multiplayer and good singleplayer) and Hero (best singleplayer) are my favorites. I love Tournament, too.

I have a lot of favs. My favorite games in the series from the 90's were '93, '94, all of the Super games (2 was my personal favorite of those), GB 3, Neo, and Quest. Never played Saturn, but really want to one day.
If some early 2000's games count, then Tournament, Jetters GBA, and Generation were my favorites from that era.

>> No.7037001

The three N64 games are my favorites. Might just be nostalgia but at least they arent carbon copies of each other like most of the series is, each bring something unique to the table.

If we’re talking traditional style only, then Saturn or Bomberman 2 for DS would be the best in the series.

Bomberman Quest for the GB?

Not him but the presentation is innately more charming.

From a purely mechanical perspective Super R might be better, but the visuals and music dont have a good style. Traditional bomberman gameplay isnt amazing, just okay. So good aesthetics are important to elevating that experience. Also since its a multiplayer series, you want something that isnt too embarrassing to ask friends if they want to play, but what qualifies for this is obviously extremely subjective.

i really like wario blast for gameboy. it was simple. i remember playing one on the genesis with the kangaroo things, and various bomber costumes and ai personalities, but in retrospect i seem to recall there being a LOT going on. maybe thats a good thing? the campaign was stupid as fuck though.

and then i got "bomberman generations" for the gamecube. christ fuck what happened? the announcer voice was awful. the campaign was retarded 3d puzzle solving and pokemon. the games were frantic and overloaded with stupid powerups. it was just so GAY and ridiculous.

wario blast was nice and enjoyable.

Saturn Bomberman is my favorite for sticking with the classic 2D looks and great 7 player +1 bot matches my friends and I played back then. We did not have to worry as much about being at least 2 meters away from one another back then. I never got to use the Genesis multitap, so that was a missed opportunity, but from how it plays, I would say you cannot lose with any Bomberman game, as they are all fun with friends, since online does diminish that forcing revenge bomber to be toggled off. Mega Bomberman is pretty good since it is pretty much the excellent Bomberman '94 on PC-Engine. Maybe once the pandemic clears, we could all enjoy it again.

Will always be one of my all time favorite games just for how much I loved it in my childhood.

I was always waiting for another like it. Generations and Jetters didnt even begin to come close.
