actually came across this on sale in a gaming section ~99/00 after the GG had become obsolete and bought it as I still had mine
was reasonably enjoyable att 2bh. sonic character was too big leading to too many leaps of faith. still have the cart along with most other GG sonic releases but not the console itself. I understand it was literally the last game officially released for it too lol. 1996

they were unrelated iirc. the GG one was just a standalone whose release kept getting put back for various reasons and got labelled Blast to piggyback on the Saturn Blast release

It really is. Blue Marine Zone is probably one of the worst classic Sonic zones. Tried Sonic 1 GG afterwards and it's much better.
