Some blame consoles and jrpgs for the unpopularity of shmups. Giving people easy and comfy fun, instead of hard and annoying fun that used to suck your quarters.
Some have autism and don't understand how to enjoy jrpgs, this makes them angry and confused.
Others just like the meme and find it funny.
The definition of Jarpig keeps changing since many top shmup players play rpgs a lot.
