Yes old games are always superior, because they are filled with heart, soul, and love of craftsmanship. That game is part of a whole series of monster pinball games: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crush_Pinball

Also somebody made a new game like that called Demon's Tilt and it is very fun too

This game has given me a terrible hunger for pinball games, OP. Devil's Crush has such a sick theme, great music, and effects. It makes it difficult to play pinball simulators that resemble realistic board designs. I've heard some really great things about Pinball Fantasies and Slam Tilt. I wish Alien Crush could compete with Devil's Crush.

Yes, Alien Crush, Devil Crash (Dragon's Fury) and Jaki Crush form a series. Dragon's Revenge was inspired by this series, but developed by a different team.

Not always but you will see it way more frequently than you will in modern games. Part of it is because the people who are passionate about games got chased out of the industry and suits who don't know jack about shit run the industry. Most of the people making games today are rejects from other industries, mostly film. Back in the day a small studio full of passionate people who know absolutely nothing about business could still make a AA or in some cases even a AAA game. The only time in modern gaming I can think of a scrappy team of devs cobbling together an AAA game was No Man's Sky, and it still took them a few years of patching before it got to an even acceptable state.

If they're not infested with hackers, you're better off beating your own high score as a measure of self-improvement, because if you cared about competing with others you wouldn't be playing games whose active community is a 2-digit number at best. You're like the speedrunner who holds a world record in the most obscure shitty game just to feel good about his "achievement". An achievement scales with the amount of competition, just like a winner's win scales with the quality of the opponent.
