Can we have a thread about retro arcade games? Don't need to be digital. They never get discussed here. This is one of my favourites.

What about famous retro arcades like the Fiesta Fun Center at Walt Disney World's Contemporary Resort?

What was that Zeke kicked the bucket western shooting gallery thing? I played that a lot as a kid.

I don't remember the name of it. Maybe /vr/ can help. There was this one game that was like a light gun combined with a shooting parlor, since it contained physical coffee mugs, with targets on them, behind a sneeze guard-like screen. It used some sort of infrared signal to tell if you'd hit one of the targets, and if you did, the mug would explode. It did so by prompting the puppeteer-ish string mechanism that was holding the mugs together (since they were obviously already broken) to fly apart when you fired the gun accurately. It was REALLY cool.

One of my favorites. Playable in MAME but not easy to do with a mouse.

>tfw double fisting it bare-handed like a ninja and the manager has to come over and take your tickets away for being too good at the game for sticks

That is really cool, never seen that one. Namco did a lot of cool ideas back then, here is a shooting game that had a coffee cup that "exploded" when shot

Did anyone actually use the stick and not their hands?

I had blessed with a fucking great arcade in my town as a kid, with a ton of mechanical games as well as pinballs and arcade cabs. Many games that I probably cant even name any more.
>Slot car racing (big cars not the little home ones)
>Whirly buckets
>Mini bowling with wooden balls
>Ice cold beer
>Something with 4 metal plates that was like a 70's dance dance revolution machine.
>Some game that was sort of like a big pinball pachinko with rubber (squash?) balls, where you try and get poker hands.
>clay pigeon light guns
And all kinds of other shit I cant remember that dispensed tickets to trade for little toys like pump frogs and whoopee cushions. I still have the Ice cold beer song in my head to this day. I feel bad that my kids will never experience this, it was a huge part of my childhood. I fucking miss that place.
