I shuffle things around to the middle part on top of the extron when I switch consoles, so cords don’t dangle in front. It’s less than ideal but I don’t mind being more hands on. I’m waiting until next year before figuring out a more permanent solution ie. a custom wood table where I can put the consoles underneath the monitors.

I would presume so, I haven't had any issues with these speakers and interference. Also, the person that I got the monitor from had rigged up a dongle that plugs into the "remote" port on the back. I'm sure there's a guide out there.
