Are they any good? Mostly the multi console one? Should you buy them?

They are many different kinds of things. Hyperkin is shit. I should buy them and I do. But only for pennies on the dollar from bandwagoners after they've realized they bought shit.

They are pretty ok in the grand scheme of things. As in, you might not have the most accurate sound on all of the games or even the ability to play them all (looking at you, Castlevania III), they usually can play PAL games too. Like the FC-Twin (NES/SNES combo), it can play PAL NES games no adapter needed. Confirmed with Mega Man anyway.

They're cute little novelties but please don't pay more than $20 for one - and there are even much better options at that price point like Anon already said, you can just mod a Wii.

If you are intent on using your old carts, then they get the job done and basically look like the original but with cleaner video output. Retron is generally cheap and effective. Most people will never know the difference.

if you don't mind piracy, you may as well just emulate on a PC or a Pi.

You should buy them, since you are retarded enough to ask this question.

You should spend your allowance on educating yourself, in particular in the area of critical thinking and not being a sheep. You'll then not only know what you should buy but

many other things as well.

They have some issues with accuracy, such as slightly off sounds, but they work well enough on a tight budget. The NES and SNES goes for $100+USD each in my area, and I bought the Super Retro Trio which goes for significantly less than either one. So for the cost of 4 Genesis systems or half an NES, I am able to play a combination of all the systems, therefore it was worth it for me.

And what about controllers? Are the packed in ones good enouth?

They're $100 emulators. For that price you're better off just getting the cheap parts necessary to just plug your pc into a crt, better experience and you dont have to pay for the games

I think it matters greatly what consoles you want to emulate. If you just want 16 and 8-bit era, your choices are endless really.

In my experience, the multi-system boxes are shit and not worth the $100. Those things just emulate consoles on an underpowered ARM chipset with shitty, not up-to-date emulators that have audio and rendering problems. A $100 PC doing software emulation will have much better accuracy, performance, and overall video game-related functionality than a memebox of any sort.
Being able to use an Xbox controller or a Wiimote or a fightstick or any input device on a $100 Windows PC is a major advantage.

I've looked into this and it seems your choice of parts is limited? Don't you need like an ATi x1900 or some shit? Something with s-video out?
Educate me on this stuff because it seems like the best of both worlds to me.

You can literally buy a $20 hdmi-to-rgb cable for a "good enough" crt experience, only flaw being that the resolution is usually locked at 480 and thus a bit blurry, which you won't even notice on an average crt (protip: 99% of crt's are running at 240 and already blurry). If you really want a more authentic experience or are using a more expensive crt you'll need specialized video card drivers. If you have a scart TV you can make do with the more common vga output. Otherwise you're gonna be fucking around with s-video

But that's literally just the Retron 5. Everything else is clone hardware smashed together from China. Still agree with you, though.
