When I played this as a kid back in the day, I guess I either had music turned off or didn't have the CD in, because I only ever heard the ambient sounds. It definitely gave the game an eerie vibe.

You're better off listening to the OST seperately. It makes no difference since it's pretty much randomized.

Also I find it infuriating that every time you load a new level or die it skips to the next track.

I recommend playing the subsequent game of the same developer as RR, Kingpin. It's of much better quality.
