In Heaven I'd like to think you could just recreate your room effortlessly as a way to commemorate your human trials and show off to friends. "I was about to complete my atari collection when I lied down for a nap and woke up here. This is as far as I got, as a kid I was blahblah"

Unironically how I got my friend into buying his own dreamcast. I just love sharing these old games with other people that probably never played them and would in any other case.

Trying to out autism me eh
>always create my own story for games I play
>imagine the motivations/personalities for every character in the game, even random bosses
>create OCs in my head that I imagine the characters talking to between levels
>sometimes look up every level/read a strategy guide as I'm playing just so I can form a cohesive narrative and know what everything is supposed to build up to

As a kid this helped me get through really hard video games; the longer it took me to beat Mega Man or Castlevania the longer I had to form a story in my head, so I would wind up getting really immersed instead of giving up. Sadly this doesn't work for modern games, since they usually provide enough of their own story there isn't much room for imagination.

Me as a little kid:

>people at home
>be really quiet playing on the nes/snes/pc almost all day

>home alone
>jump all around the house
>go into parents bed, start doing somersaults and shadow fighting
>make up stories of the vidya and cartoons I watched

I could get so much into it I'd get adrenalinic for the rest of the day. Even sometimes wanted my parents and sisters to leave so I could 'continue the story'

As I became I teen I started to think that was kind of pathetic and loser stuff. Now I'd really want to do it again but I'd break everything lel

While playing vidya as a kid I never wanted to stop, which meant not wanting to poop. I'd hold my shits in so long until my turd wanted out so bad that my asshole would literally hurt. But I'd scream and squeeze as hard as I could just so I could continue to keep playing games. I'd go days without shitting until letting out one massive fucking log that felt so cathartic, you'd think I'd just given birth.

Whenever I kill master hand in smash I like to deal the final blow in the air and off the platform. That way the character falls while master hand blows up in the background and the screen glows white and becomes slow motion.

I feel the character falling towards their death makes for a more dramatic finish.

There absolutely are videogames in Heaven. What do you think Jesus Christ has been doing for these last 2000 years? He's probably playing Dorf Fort or something.

I think it can feel so good to lose yourself in your imagination and get carried away like when you were a kid, even if it is just for nostalgia.

I feel like it can put things in perspective and make me feel excited about all the games I'm free to play now compared to when I was a kid.
