What are some games that inexplicably make you feel a bit sad when playing or looking back on it? For me it's pic related. Dunno why, maybe it's just nostalgia.

I think one of the reasons is just how lonely 64 feels compared to the later 3d games which all have overworlds full of characters, even the levels are bright and have characters other than enemies.

SM64 came during a time where the gaming industry was still innocent. The gen of N64 was the first 3D gen for gaming and SM64 was the first 3D Mario game and they did a fantastic job with it. I even consider it the best N64 game. The industry now is jewish and s o y boy cancer. We were also still kids when it came out so it reminds us of how we were there for gamings first 3D gen and being kids we had a lot less responsibility or worries in life. SM64 represents happier times.

Just look at what is considered great games today vs back then. SM64 was organically amazing and well received. It even did a lot to further advance 3D gaming while so called "great" games now are extremely derivative tired overdone crap that isn't truly unique at all other than for people who never played gaming for all these years. S O Y of War is a great example of what I mean. Nothing in that shit game is truly innovative or even done better. There are tons of games that have the mechanics from that game that are also done much better.
