It's a very hit & miss that does a lot of cool things with the Build engine, but which also does a lot of things wrong.

imo the expansion does a good job at hiding the flaws and not repeating the same mistakes, for the most part.

The sequel fixes some of those problems, though not all, and is generally much better in every way

>>4680053
Yes, yes it was, one of the bests. The refinery map in Rides Again is even better though.

Is it just me or do western developers severely lack a sense of creating awe and wonder?

When I see a game like this I mentally prepare myself for low effort schlock.

you're posting the wrong pic to start a RR Thread.

"Ya mess with the bull, ya get the horn!"

This and Shadow Warrior ate up so much of my time as a kid. Plus, they were one of the few games I had that you could listen to the music in my portable CD player (shitty ass 5 second anti-skip and bass boost oh yeah!) just as long as you skipped the first data track.

I played the shit out of the game when it first came out. I found it refreshing and funny. I recently downloaded it and installed but haven't been able to play it. I think it has some issues with resolution and mouse control in dosbox but I haven't looked into fixing these.
But anyway, great game and funny. If I remember correctly it went downhill longer you progressed in the game. The starting area and few things after that were the best.
I played this over Blood. My friend wasn't playing anything else than Blood though, all the time.

i couldn't think a of bigger waste of time and life if i tried.

Although with that being said i do sometimes fantasize about becoming really fluent in japanese and romhacking so i could translate game like these (games where the translator just sits on translating for years without much progress) and then add dialogue to the MC and NPCs where they just shit on the translator and call him the biggest faggot in the universe and stuff.

Get the GOG versions. Just pirate them if you have to. They should take care of all the setup issues and just run fine without you having to mess with anything.
