I want this. I think the two-minute rush to complete challenges was part of the replayable charm. One of those games you set up and pass-the-controller-bro among a group until someone finally nails whatever challenge you are going for.

I think I preferred it with the sometimes obscure objective list instead of the Quest structure where you go talk to Bam and he wants you to ride a trolley down a hill near Alcatraz.

Bit of a /v/ story; but same thing with the Xbox One.

Mate of mine gets it for Christmas from his Mrs. Gets us all over. She's gone and bought enough expensive controllers so we can all play. He's got Halo 5 and Halo MC Collection.

"Oh man let's do four player this will be sweet!"

>Console loads for the first time.
>Connect me to the internet it says.
>Updating console.
>Then updating and downloading each of out user profiles.
>Now for some reason updating controllers; individually.
>Then updating the game.
>It's gotta install to disc, OK almost done.

Then after four-five hours of anticipation; four if us sitting in his lounge room watching bars - we find out Halo 5 has no split screen; Halo MCC has only two-player co-op; and only some of the multiplayer maps support four-player splitscreen. In the modern day!

Then we found out that if we go into a match and anyone except player one tries to quit then the game get's stuck and has to be manually restarted.

Back in my day four of us crammed around a seven-inch CRT kept in my cupboard while whoever drew the short straw had to play Halo using a snowboard controller I bought for Amped.

Mission structure? You mean just the mechanic where completing objectives unlocks more missions/challenges/whatever-they're-called, or that instead of 2-minute runs with everything object up for completion at once, you have to go attempt each one separately?

Personally, I loved that structuring approach in THPS4. The more open-world style levels with individually activated challenges allowed for much better usage of the significantly larger levels and more variance for the challenges (e.g. challenges often place objects and structures in the level only for the duration of those particular runs).
And it was the last of the "classic" THPS games - no stupid overarching plots no one cared about and none of the hyperbolically zany elements and extra fluff the series later embraced.

Every game from THPS3 onwards where I try to make myself it ends up looking like Gun Jesus with glasses, so at some point I gave up and started just making Gun Jesus with glasses. I turn on the PSP again, load the save data and my skater was invisible. I then went to the edit skater menu and by changin' each editable part I was able to recover my custom skater... except for the board, it is now invisible in every mode. so my question is... How the hell do I make my board visible? I tried changin the images, the griptape, creating a custom one, nothing works, it feels weird to play with an invisible board. i'll never understand the high praise for tony hawk 2, even as a massive fan of the entire franchise. yeah, manuals are amazing, and I use them a lot in the later games, but if I can't go into caspers or things like that, what's the point? also, Tony Hawk 3 adding reverts was much more innovative. being able to continue a combo from a QUARTER PIPE? holy shit. that's much more interesting. comboing on a rail is nothing, manualing out of a rail for more points on top of what you just got is just kind of redundant. While I don't think Tony Hawk 1, 2, or 3 are the best in the series, I think 3 offered the most, and 1 is amazing as a first entry.

Replaying the series that's honestly one of the surprising bits you completely forget about and makes THPS2 feel weird until you get used to it- you've got manuals so you're thinking you're already good to go for xbox hueg combos, but the special meter doesn't fill until you finish the combo and then can't be refilled during one, so it's like a one-and-done thing. I'm still angry that THPS HD was so shit. They could have made such a great game with levels from 1+2+3 with HD textures, but they went and fucked it up with a broken engine that runs at barely 20fps, no split screen and only 7 levels (not even the best ones, fucking downhill jam is in there)

Heat up the tip of a safety pin with a candle or lighter. Try to melt it into it. If that doesn't work try using a safety pin to scrap/pull it out. IF THAT DOESNT WORK, you could probably open the back of the TV (unplug it for ONE DAY to lower the chances of getting shocked). The RCA inputs on the insides are exposed and it would be easy to flick this part out of it.

God speed anon

>> No.4728784

I have now played through all of them since this thread was made and I would have to say 3 was my least favorite. It felt like a lot of bails were cheap because flips are too slow. If you hit the input a split second too late youre fucked. You basically need to Ollie off a roof to land a 540 flip. I realize the older games are slow compared to 4 and up, but the other ones didn't feel as rough. Also, reverts are useless if you can't manual out of them.

>> No.4728789
