Or easie arcade games? I'm just wondering.

Kirby is a notoriously easy franchise.
Most 5th gen games are easy since that's when modern gaming started to take shape.
As for arcade games, try Golden Axe (beat 'em up), Batsugun Special Version (shoot 'em up) or single player Vampire Savior (fighting).

Any of them that don't have checkpoints since you can just credit feed to the ending.

Easiest arcade game on a single quarter I can remember is Super Pac-Man.

Try smb2.

Try pit fighter and rampage on low.

>> No.4579343

Contra, Super Contra, Metal Slug 1, Nemesis 1, Lifeforce, Sunset Riders, Flying Shark, Deathsmiles. All easy to 1cc by arcade game standards.

Kirby
Bonk
Sonic (minus special stages)
Final fight 3

I second the Nemesis arcade, hell even the original Gradius is pretty manageable IMO

Wario land 2 and 3. Cant even die.

Lifeforce is easier than Salamander?

>> No.4579463

Sor 1 to 2.

RPGs, just grinding a lot back then.

Zelda

Smb is easy.

Pokemon.

Tetris is just using your brain so easy to me.

Certain arcade ports. Snes MK2 inputs are easer to master.

NES Zelda games are probably hard for people asking stuff like OP
You can't beat Tetris, it's an older arcade style entirely based around scoring. So of course it's not hard, it's all about PB stuff, unless you want to compete with other people's scores.

Zelda 2 is hard. The first need getting used to, and exploring.

>> No.4579482

The easier games are from the 16 bit era. Mega Man X stands out as being incredibly easy due to simple level lay-out, easy to find upgrades, the ability to grind for huge amounts of E-tank energy.

Super Mario World is also pretty damn easy due to the near infinite amount of lives it throws at you, how hard it is to lose yoshi, and the ability to hold a back-up flower or cape.

Sonic 1 is the hardest sonic.

Are the Nes Megaman games hard?

>> No.4579496

I would say DKCountry is actually pretty hard. Agreed on the others though. Except MMX's final boss, that took me like 25 tries

>> No.4579497

>>4579482
5th gen games are way easier.
And sure, MMX is not hard for us used to these games. But I've witnessed people IRL struggling a lot with it on their first time; it's still a moderately challenging game in the grand scheme of things.

>> No.4579508

>>4579493
4 is, the others not really. 1 can be hard if you're really slow at picking up boss patterns.

>> No.4579512

4 can be cheesed with E-Tanks, particularly if you know how to force Eddie to give them to you.

They are easy by the standards of other NES games due to having an incredible large life pool compared to other characters, very generous health/1ups drops, infinite continues. They also give you way more recovery items and occasionally have very OP special weapons.

However "easy by the standards of NES games" means it's tougher than the vast majority of the SNES library.

In terms of difficulty arcade>8 bit consoles>16 bit consoles only a few games really break this pattern.

The easiest NES game I know of is Felix the Cat. I literally beat it in a day.

That said part of the fun of retro games is to challenge yourself. You don't need to beat it to have fun and if you are looking to develop skill the best way is actually to play tougher games.

Donkey Kong country 2 and 3 hard?

I would say DKC2 is quite hard, the first one not so much.
Never played 3.

I'd say Mega Man Castlevania are all very fast to beat as well. Although if Castlevania didn't have unlimited continues it would be impossible

Ikari warriors 3
Tiny toon adventures
Monster in my pocket
Magical Kimgdom Nes

Haven't played 2 and 3 since childhood but I've having a tough time getting through DKC without getting set back to my previous save.

Not retro but the Konami rebirth series.

Co op also makes old faces easier.

Wrestling games can be easy and other sports.

Contra hard corps in Japan has a life bar and infinte continues.

Rhythm games.

Dance games.

Capcom classics collection lets you have all the weapon searcy with codes for gng series.

Fatal Furry Snes is easier than the arcade.
