Treasure was founded at all because they hated just doing sequels in Konami.

Explain why they did Gunstar Superheroes or Sin & Punishment Star Successor then

>> No.4521838

>>4521831
They did sequels much more moderately, and just after like 10 years from the foundation.

>> No.4521943

I heard the reason it never got a sequel was because there was a conflict between treasure and Enix over the IP with Rakugaki Showtime.

I just started playing this yesterday. It's fun although a bit awkward in parts.

Still mad that with the rise of motion controls that there isn't even a spiritual successor to Mischief Makers wherein you physically shake the controller to shake enemies and the speaker lets out audible panicked screams as you shake. I know its not retro but on the WiiU they could even display a clancer's face on the controller's screen so you can see how progressively "shaken" their facial expression becomes as you continue to shake them.

Sacridicing the legacy of the game and the simple but effective gameplay to shoehorn a pseudogimmick about a recurrent action?
Not worth it in any case, not only talking about Mischief Makers.

This game is for extremely mentally ill (bipolar but the functional kind) people who pretend to be highly nice, who can't keep their shit together and have terrible attitudes, specially towards their friends, and love to sour and patronize others, yet struggle to pretend to be nice.

Don't trust people who own this game, one thing is playing it and one thing is obsessing over this "very rare" kinds of games and even going to the level of almost worshiping the disc itself so much that they use a plastic protector on the black area of the disc, allowing errors to occur in gameplay due to the fact that they're using such a stupid gimmick.

I think females will most likely be attracted to this title. They'll also probably go for silly games with artificial endless goals and stupid rehashes.

Don't befriend these kind of people. These kind of people are assholes, picture related.

:^) heh

Wasn't the guy from Star Successor the son of Airan and Saki from the first game?
I remember reading S&P2 happened due to a very good reception of the Wii VC release of the first game.
It's the best sequel Treasure did.

I feel the same way about no Mega Man Legends 3 on Vita for strafing with the backpad (like in Ratchet & Clank HD) or Ristar 2 on the DS/3DS where you can use the touchscreen to control his arms :(

I'd never want the game to be insulted by a less than stellar sequel.

I'd kill a man for a level editor though. Give me a Mischief Makers Maker and I can die happy.

I'm surprised more companies and fans haven't made level editors for some series, all things considered. How many are there, anyway? Aside from not enough.
