A Halcyeon, the Laserdisk based console with voice control in fucking 1985! Too bad the company failed before the official launch so all the consoles floating around were demonstration units sent to stores and the occasional one someone stole before they were destroyed.

I always wanted an X’Eye, I still remember commercials and asking my parents buy me it for Christmas. I obviously didn’t get it, but I ordered one a few weeks ago after seeing a few YouTube videos on the X’Eye. I felt guilty spending a little over $300 but after playing on it I fell in love with it. The picture quality on the X’Eye is superb compared to the model 1 and the audio and bass are punchy and clear on my audio system and disks read fast. The disk spindle on it is a lot like the one’s on the old boom box’s from the 90’s. I’m probably not going to spend that much dosh on a retro system again, but I have no regrets. Overall the X’Eye is a very cool system, if you have the money go for it.

Not sure yet. The input cards alone are worth much more than I paid. They're BVM-D9H5Es with SDI and HD-SDI cards which I use with an upscaler/converter combo.

I have 4 20F1Es as well with conventional analogue inputs, those weren't expensive either (£10-50), you just need to keep your eyes peeled and be patient.
