What are your comfy games? The ones you can put on after a long week of bullshit and just unwind. Low stress, max comfy.

Pic related.

Another one of my favorites. This one was released right at the end of my childhood, so the nostalgia overload is just unreal. Great aesthetic and colors, amazing music, easy, nostalgia overload. So fucking comfy.

Ninja Gaiden

There's just something therapeutic about running through levels and jumping on walls.

Also the music is GOAT

Ninja Gaiden (NES) is one of my favorite games of all time, but it's nowhere near what I would call comfy. It winds me up more than it helps me unwind.

Not saying that can't be the case for you, as much as I'm saying that sounds weird as fuck to me.

Metroid on NES. It's rather easy with some practice and the music is great, and then that item jingle happens, hgggnnnn

I was never able to "get" NES Metroid. I just get lost not knowing where to go and die from some random asshole. Any tips?

You pretty much have to actually draw your own map as you play. Sounds like a hassle but it's part of the fun.

If you're really, really against that then just look up a map online. But just wandering around isn't a good way to navigate Metroid, you'll grt turned around and confused as fuck.

Also mark locked doors and other stuff you can't get through yet on the map, helps a lot with backtracking.

I only ever had the second one but I played the shit out of it and still love it. The music was great too, especially Coo's theme: https://youtu.be/gK5ifF-F2S8

ABB, Always Be Bombing

There are tunnels placed in retarded areas that aren't always obvious. And try shooting at ceilings too.

Make use of the ice beam to make platforms with enemies.

And look up how to get the varia suit early because going into Kraid without it is a fucking nightmare.

I feel the same way about Mario RPG I play it like once a year. Its just so relaxing and fun.

Also play Sonic CD, Kirby Super Star, 50CC Mushroom Cup on Super Mario Kart, and the Pokemon TCG for GBC.

Except for Sonic CD (which I've never played), those are all top tier choices.
