Supposedly the devs almost got Plok onto the virtual console, but Nintendo ended communication with them at the last minute.

The devs have said that they don't know who owns the copyright to the original game, but surely that wouldn't apply here because the publisher was Nintendo of Europe.

Zed Two was a tiny studio, it wouldn't have worked no matter how many fans cried out for it. Their only N64 release was Wetrix, and they had to beg a friend at Ocean to make the N64 version in their spare time.

The limb gimmick is rarely used in a clever way, and in the Fleapit it's discarded entirely in favor of awful vehicle sections. The fleas, who are supposed to be the game's biggest foes, are a pain in the ass to kill.

I think you're probably more cut out for vidyadev than you realize. The impression I got was that you were trying to make a game that reasonably requires a team, all by yourself. I cannot think of a single 3d platformer that was 1MA'd. But your Plok sequel got me hype every time there was something new posted. If you were to work on something just a little smaller in scope, I'd follow the shit out of your progress.

I never stuck with anything for too long. The game I got furthest in was a game that's like Brick Breaker/Breakout except the ball can go off literally any side and you have paddles on all four sides that you have to control. I finally have some time now, so I'm going to try again. Thinking of a platformer where you can't kill enemies directly but you have a number of tools with which to make them fall prey to the level's various traps.

It wasn't the lack of scope, it was a failure of imagination. and my own incompetence. It was a 1MA, but it could have been made in 2 years by a more competent dev who had a clear vision. I made it 3D not because I had an idea for making Plok work in 3D, but because everyone else was making 2D.

There's Blockhead's Blunder and a Crash clone someone on /agdg/ was making.
