you're going to need either a down scaler/scan converter or an old video card that will output 15 kHz and a special VGA to SCART cable (not entirely passive, you have to turn RGBHV into RGBs)

Why would you use this when we have cycle perfect emulation.

Jesus Christ, what kind of CRT had scanlines that black even? I appreciate CRT filters as a fun way to add effects to make it look more like it was (arguably) intended and to take the edge off a bit, but this is excessive as fuck.

Who the fuck cares? In this day and age, literally any piece of garbage cellphone can emulate SNES AND PSX just fine.

Nowadays, not even the PS2 emulator is that demanding (but you will need a decent PC)

Possibly. I meant more as in that wave pattern, but if you took a bar magnet up to a CRT you could probably get that sort of eye shape if you worked at it.

The most accurate emulator avable right now requires at least an i7 for perfect cycles you dipshit. And pcsx2 being 'low requirement', do you enjoy looking at slideshows? Fuck, I wouldn't even touch dogshit like epsxe with anything less than an i5.

Human eye != CCD

Modern digital cameras can see the blacklines much more sharply than people. This leads a lot of people to think that scanlines where super dark, whereas CRTs simply where designed around human eyes and perception.
