Is it me or is it only the American Neo Geo that's expensive? Also do most Japanese Neo Geo games reguire any knowledge of moonspeak?

Unless you plan on playing quiz games and such, you don't need to know any moon to play anything on a Japanese Neo Geo.

I think some could potentially be due to scarcity, but my un-researched opinion is that the average Japanese videogame collector is not quite as braindead as the average western game buyer. As such, Japanese collectors are therefore not as willing to sink stupid sums of money into uneducated purchases of trendy collectibles. I honestly wonder if your average western collector has ever even considered buying Japanese releases. When ragged cart-ony gamer condition copies of MMX3 sell for roughly triple the cost of a decent condition Rockman X3, you have to wonder.

OP here. I also heard that a certain amount of people are being scfammed into buying a MVS. Is there a way to be sure that you're buying a AES and not a MVS?

They are arcade games. What do you think?
