That game or game series you always wanted to get a next gen installment but never got one. What's her name /vr/?

Personally I always wanted to see Wizards and Warriors series to get a new game on the SNES and later on either on PSX or N64 but that never happened.

You can thank Rare for that. They abandoned all their roots in the 16-bit days except for the new Battletoads games

Motherfucking Lampshade. It was my absolute favorite game in the early 90's and still is one of my all-time favorites even with it's clunky menus and mediocre fighting scenes.

With the subtitle Part 1: The Claws of Sutekh used both in the game's packaging and the actual game I was convinced they would eventually release Part 2 on the Super Nintendo and patiently waited for that to happen. Then I patiently waited for a sequel on the PSX. Then finally I saw a game called Nightshade coming out for PS2 and through my wait was finally over. It definitely wasn't what I had been expecting all those years.

"Its" is the possessive of "it".
"It's" is a contraction of "it is".

Shadowrun (SNES) is the spiritual successor to Nightshade. Both made by Beam Software and they said some of the ideas for the sequel were put to use in this

I wasn't too fond of the third game. It doesn't have the same feel to it that the first and second had.

Funny. The first time I heard about Wizards & Warriors for PC, I thought it was actually some kind of sequel to the NES series, or at least something by the same developer and set in the same universe. I even picked it up and started playing it as if there were any relation. Even several hours into the game, I kept convincing myself that it was awesome simply because it was a 3D W&W.

I liked it because it wasn't like the first two games or the GB exclusive

That game has as much to do with the W&W games on NES than Nightshade for PS2 has to do with the NES game. In other words they aren't related by anything but having the same name for no fucking reason.

Speaking of Wizards & Warriors how is the Game Boy game?

Pic related, I really hope Nintendo would have made more StarTropics games especially now that even the fans of Zelda games are tired of them being nothing but rehashes of each other. Seriously Nintendo you had another good action adventure series going and you let it die for no good reason? WHY?

In b4 someone says it, I'm aware of Zoda's Revenge and how it's poor sales may have doomed the series to obscurity, but given the release date in the system's life cycle, it's somewhat understandable. If only there had been a Startropics game on the SNES...

I'm gonna say Faxanadu on this one. I really enjoyed it. It wasn't too much of a grindfest and the story was pretty good.

A big part of the problem is that the games were never released in Japan. Not even on VC.

>Wizards & Warriors on the N64

I was going to make a joke about how it would've been yet another collectathon, but then realized that's how the first game worked.

Well, you can play W&W and pretend you're playing Dark Souls, right?
