Plus it was my first rpg-esque game, so I had no idea you could level up magic & weapons... damn!

I had Link's Awakening before SoE (and it's still my favourite Zelda game), but it wasn't nearly as "complex" for a kid as SoE... I mean, I was young enough to name the dog after my best friend, so the whole concept of leveling up spells was kinda abstract to me :(

I remember being stuck on the last boss... oh well, one day I'll replace the battery and start again!
