Agree, but I don't mind playing as Muttley on his own adventure. I always liked him the best on that show.

Racing game with weapons was actually released for PS1 and PC. And there was another game for Dreamcast, which I think, is the best Wacky Races game.

Late Japanese games were pretty easy and casual but most of the Western-developed stuff from the 90-93 period was plenty brutal.
