I played MDK a bunch when I was a kid. I liked it then, but I've been hesitant to try it as an adult cuz it seems like it's probably not that good. Does it hold up?

I really really love MDK so much I wish Tim Burton could have made a movie about it. Sniper gun head is one of the most creative and cool shit I've seen.

This game had a weird vibe. Apparently the programmer's name was Andrew Looney.
I spent a lot of time on the map editor on the PC version.

This game isn't great, but it is indeed bizarre

>>10526373
Parodius is surprisingly tame compared to the Cho Aniki games and some of the other wacky shmups that came after it. Game Tengoku also gives it a run for its money on the weird-o-meter, though I probably prefer Parodius in general

I had the same experience, and played it a few years back. Parts were definitely not as good as I remembered, but overall it was still refreshingly creative and entertaining. It was also rather short. I had a hard time making progress when I was younger, but as an adult I blew through the game without any real issue or serious time investment. Definitely recommended.
I didn't try MDK2 afterward though, since my memories of the first part of it weren't that positive. I'm sure the same would apply though, and as an adult I could get through it quickly.

The last chapter (controlling Kabuto) was genuine shit. The first two were pretty fun. Also, the Delphi mods are pretty exciting.

The game's 0/10 campaign was built around the hopes that people would eat up their undeniably interesting multiplayer. I think there's still a dedicated community of G:CK players.

Yeah but it has 10/10 cutscenes if you're into that sort of humor

Terracon. A late PS1 game only released in Europe where you play as an alien terraforming planets.
It came out a couple months before the PS2 and if you squint your eyes it almost looks like an early PS2 game.

Even with some leeway that's completely delusional, it looks flatout worse than Goldeneye.
