what games feel healing or soul cleansing to play?
for me it's gotta be Wind Waker. when you turn everything else off and fully immerse, the sailing and wholesomeness is such an escape from the stressful ADHD world today

Fun fact: Optimizing the sea drove Aonuma insane. He thought the game would never be finished. Then they added the music...and it blew him away. Goes to show how important atmosphere is in games

Been playing WW recently. Just relieved Valoo of a singed/chewed tail. Really fun game so far, and honestly damn impressive for the time on a technical front. I have my GameCube set up with an HDMI adapter and were it not for the somewhat low resolution it'd pass as a modern game visually.
And yeah the sound design is top-notch. The title theme's bamboo clatter sends shivers down my spine every time I boot the game up.

Back in the day when WindWalker was a hit on tv and magazine ads, I was in love with it. But never had a chance to play it. Once I got hands on a GC, it was way past the days and I played it after the launches of TP and SS.

It has a good setting but the >ocean wasn't as great as I felt it would be. Looks more like a chore than an exploration. The pacing is somewhat alright bar the triforce part people complain. I like it more than TP.
