I don't know if it belongs on /tg/ but there is an old finnish game called "Saunaklonkku" or literally "Sauna Gollum", named after the Lord of the Rings character. The object of the game is for the person designated Gollum to crawl under the wooden boards people sit on and tickle or poke their anus through the seams. If someone bounces off their seat in response, they become Gollum instead and swap roles. EOP's can't enjoy this game because it is very uncommon for Anglo-Saxon homes to have a sauna, whereas even Finnish apartments usually have personal saunas. As a result, EOP's would have to go to a communal sauna to play the game which would be very disconcerting. On top of it, Anglo-Saxons robe themselves with a towel in the sauna instead of being fully naked, which prevents touching the anus. If this were not bad enough, the Anglo-Saxon sauna design (picture on the left) is not hospitable to crawling underneath, unlike the traditional Finnish sauna design (my sauna on right)

Linda cubed is one of the more interesting games I've played. Tengai Makyo 1/2 are fun as well, but they're far more 王道 style.

There's Koto Battle by AlphaDream (of Mario & Luigi fame). With no translation in sight, it is safe from dirty EOP hands.

What are you talking about? I played the game using a translated walkthrough and a huge ass image with all the cards translated on it and came out fine. For some reason I'm having a lot of trouble finding the FAQ with all the links to the images, but unless I hallucinated the entire thing, I made it through the game just fine.

The game OP posted is legit funny and interesting, basically a wicked spin on the real-life travel of Marcopolo.
It's a cult classic in Japan.
As far as adventure games go, I think it's one of the must-plays of the retro era, and a shame EOPs can't enjoy.
