What are my best options for NES and SNES everdrives?
It seems like they’re all out of stock or the price is way marked up, every other console like GB/A and On are more widely available.
Are the “150 games in 1” a decent substitute? What actually is in those hardware-wise? Can I open them up and change the data on them? Do they actually work well?

>Are the “150 games in 1” a decent substitute?
Aren't all of those just on base NES cartridges without mappers and shit so they just come with a fuck ton of early Famicom games? Sure get one of those if you want to play Lode Runner and Wrecking Crew

Krikzz is the gold standard.
Currently only the Famicom N8 is not out of stock.

All those cheap flashcarts are essentially clones of older firmware versions of the current standard. They also don't include the chips and parts needed for some of the "ambitious" games (e.g. Super Mario Kart for the SNES). They work for the most part, but if a game you want doesn't work or is finicky or deletes your save due to whatever then though luck since you can't update the firmware and you'll get no sympathy anywhere.

I would suggest just to wait it out or buy from a reseller if you're desperate.
Or get the Famicom cart now and get an actual Famicom with the AV mod (or do the mod yourself), or get the updated Famicom version.

The chinese N8 clones will play 90% of the Library and are generally a good choice if you don't need the N8 Pro. I had a chinese N8 clone for years and only recently upgraded to an official N8 Pro — and I would recommend either.

Really? That was the first site I checked, maybe I was looking at the wrong thing but it said unavailable for the most current model.

I got the N8 from SAG for like $120ish, but returned it after realizing that I might as well pay like $150 straight from Kirkzz for the extra features on the Pro version.

The early 2010s finally had the mmc3 mappers replicated in multicarts allowing for post 1987 games to be added finally.

Idk I purchased the N8 pro and fkpakpro from the krikzz website early April, they're both in shipping containers making their voyage right now, I check their tracking numbers each day hoping they go through customs soon.

I don't have the money to find out whether this is any good. Too many conflicting opinions online. Original hardware has its own charm anyway.

I bought an FXPak Pro from SAG
Even though you're paying them a premium their service is quite good. Love this thing.
