I don't want to collect video games and consoles but just to experience them authentically and complete them(if possible) in a chronological manner. The problem is that they are either too expensive for me, are not sold considering the small numbers of production and the retro game conventions usually have only newer games.

you need the right crt filter to make them look the same, meaning you need a good graphics card and high resolution. most of the collect-faggots use flatscreen tvs so on average the emulation is going to look more authentic than the fags

It gets pretty expensive buying just the consoles plus flashcarts/ODEs, let alone hunting down original games. There are systems that I've decided to strictly emulate either because the parts are sensitive, they're rare, or whatever.
