It wasn't really low effort though, they updated their N64 emulation from the Wii U to 1) not be laggy, blurry, dimly lit garbage anymore and 2) support Lua injection used for the new textures, controller bindings (the camera control changes being contextual), and the language you select before launching into the game.
There was other shit like their first use of NERD's new Hagi Gamecube emulator as well as a hybrid approach for Mario Galaxy that show that they did put effort in. The problem was that they overpriced it and barely changed a single thing on the surface that would sell somebody on it. I think they learned their lesson because if they didn't change shit about Skyward Sword HD and left Fi to ruin everyone's playthrough I feel like there would've been pitchforks again.

People like to act as if Sunshine has these crazy analog water controls, but it's completely binary: Fully depressed and not fully depressed. Those are the only two modes. The water doesn't progressively spray harder/further as you pull down the button until it unleashes at full blast, it just has "low pressure" and then when you click it in at the end it becomes "high pressure." Analog triggers are not necessary when you already have an extra unused button on the controller that can be used to add a pressure toggle. The function is completely identical.
