2>1>3

From what I recall 3 was hard as fuck because the timer was so short.

I think that the animations from this were re used in c*berpunk 77 haha. I just saw some footage of that and the weird way pedestrians walked made me flash back to the airport of this instantly.
Wonderful game btw, at least the airport section. All the stuff that you can shoot. It's basically what my dream for "video games" is - just like this but longer

I got furthest in the first game. Levels were fun as fuck to run around in and really well designed. 3 had a really massive open world feel even though it was just grid system streets. 2 felt really basic but could be fun. I never had a lightgun though.

>> No.7727287

2 is fucking awesome even without a lightgun.
1 was great fun that.
3 is not fun and insanely hard.

10/10 but die hard 1 is fucking hard due to how earning new lives work.

The second game is better. And i NEVER say that! I always think the second game is worse, but Die Hard Trilogy 2 is infinitely more playable and fun than whatever this abomination was.

I had the most fun with the Virtua Cop rip-off Die Hard II. I think that is the most entertaining of the three, and a really cool adaption of the second movie. I think the third person action game, would be number two for me. It's OK in that kind of generic overhead, run and gun, type of game. The taxi game was the least interesting to me. Not a bad licensed game. Also, Die Hard Trilogy was released alongside the Die Hard Trilogy VHS box set. Same goes with Alien Trilogy. Both were released alongside their respective VHS box sets. back when there were only three Alien movies and three Die Hard movies.

here's a pretty interesting "behind the scenes" making of video for Die Hard Trilogy: Full playlist in link.

Yeah, you basically have to memorize each stage.

DHT was a real gem. Back then I would never trade this game for another because of all the different pick up n play style design of each game. Tactical action in 1, 2 is pretty satisfying rail shooter (shooting burning ppl, MERCY SHOT). 3 is def hardest but running ppl over and windshield wipers smearing blood all over, pretty satisfying. Truly a gem in ps1 library.

The taxi game was amazing for the time as there were very few games that allowed you to drive around a city like that.

I play this game every Christmas and while it's always a blast, I can't help but notice how unpolished it is. The first game is great for the first 10 stages or so but it just goes on forever. The later stages are just blatant repeats and there isn't even a final boss. DH2 is fun, if not a but janky but as others have mentioned, you really need a gun or mouse to get the most out of it. DH3 is the jankiest of the bunch but can be hilarious when you're in the right mood. It's literally 9/11x100 the game.

Turn the blood on and use the bumper cam in die hard 3 for maximum hilarity. Oh and don't forget the rosewell cheat.

I don't think John McClane had a New York accent in the films but the guy in the game clearly does. But it makes sense that he does because the character is originally from NYC
