Nobody really cared about either at the time (real kids not paid magazine shills) and over the years weebs have over exaggerated the greatness of FF and nintendo fanboys have done the same with OoT.
As someone who owned both a N64 and playstation in their heyday and with friends who owned (mostly) playstations and N64s, no one I knew played nor even talked about either of these titles.
