The first PD was never that great (apart from the music and world). Panzer Dragoon Zwei improves upon it in every way. Literally every area. Including the frame rate and game length. It also completely shits over any Star Fox.

Rails shooters were always fake and gay. Saturn fans? Ultra fake, gay, and likely trans.

I loved PD because I got to play it at my FLGS by thirty minute blocks while my mom shopped. I have a lot of positive memories of playing PD and then going to wataburger. I like PD more than Star Fox.

It's a work of art, and mildly difficult too.

Zwei is leagues better and Orta is close

Panzer Dragoon 1 was made outright obsolete by Zwei
both games pale in comparison to SF64 for the controls alone sadly.

I've spoke with the scientists, and the results are in:

PD1: Amazing Music, amazing art direction, the jank 3D is even nice and Kino, but there are a lot of times where you get hit, and it's almost impossible to avoid, game is so-so.

PD2: Music takes a slight hit, slightly less kino, but gameplay is better in almost everyway except for the intro chapter, which is unnecessary past the first playthrough and pretty much needs cut.

SF64: Best game in the series, not very kino, ironically because the graphics are so good it feels like it came out several years later than it actually did. The controls are the tightest and most responsive out of the three, no bullshit, you get hit, it was your fault.

Overall all three are great games, if you want to play the most fun game, play SF64, if you want to feel like you're in the mid-90s, play PD, if you want a balance, play Zwei.

Any game made in Unreal will have framerate issues. I like how they kept the cutscenes looking robotic, but I can see why others would hate it. Limited Run games should have stuck with making a Saturn-case-sized manual for their LE release instead of the crap they ended up making.
