I recently got a vr headset, and i heard HL1 was playable on the quest so I started playing like 2 months ago.

I finally cleared the entire game about an hour ago and I've gotta say, that game is a goddamn masterpiece. No wonder everyone is obsessed with the series

Any other cool ass retro game like HL to play on VR?

I've played through all of HL2 when I was like 12, but VR would be fucking amazing
Also my cheepo quest headset sadly doesn't support Alyx.

I could use Oculus link, but I realized my pc was just too weak to run it, it needs a 1080 and I have a 1050

I always thought HL1 was overrated. I tried playing it multiple times to, but it never clicked like Thief or Blood did. I never played in on VR. Does VR make it orders of magnitude better?

yeah, even he most miniscule of threats like headcrab, become terrifying. And parkouring becomes much more of a physical, and satisfying maneuver compared to playing it from a flat screen on PC

When I played HL2, I hated how everyone treated Gordon like some messiah, but It makes sense after all he did in HL1. he did the impossible, survived a whole military operation + intergalactic invasion threat single handedly. I guess hearing a rumor or a legend of such man would've given everyone hope.

I heard the 3070? was coming out soon. I plan on building a VR compatible desktop PC in a couple of years when 2080 and above become half of the current price, and when VR gets more cheaper and advanced. Vr and PC technology both are advancing in unbelievable pace.
I literally bought my headset like 3 months ago and its already getting to the 'Outdated' phase within the market, because the new one is coming out from oculus again.
