6818562 No.6818562 [Reply] [Original]

General “I can’t remember this game” thread. I remember playing a fantasy rpg title (I believe on gamecube) with a unique combat system. I believe it used cards or items (it isn’t Baten Kaitos), but the only clear memory I have of it is a part where you’re shrunken and traveling through a giant forest with a fairy. I’ve spent years looking and asking every one I know and hours of time online looking for it. Anyone have any idea? It’s possible it was PS2 but I’m almost certain it was a gamecube game.

I can't remember a mid 80's arcade game about a soldier fighting his way through hordes of enemies while shooting his gun, throwing grenades and stealing tanks, helicopters and boats to cross through some obstacles.

PC Game from either the late 90s or early 2000s.
It featured a lot of video sequences, which was new for the time.
It would play a video, and I believe there was a sequence of a cockroach surviving the apocalypse or a nuke or something?
Or maybe it was a tank rolling through a city. I don't remember. Maybe a spider like tank?
The levels were pretty boring. Some guy would narrate to you, and it'd mostly be a video playing... it definitely had a sorta high fantasy slash technological slash post-apocalyptic vibe. Like there was some kind of magic involved. You were meant to find it?
It wasn't an RTS or anything like that. You always saw through first person view. But it's not like you moved your mouse to look around in a 3d Space like Doom or Half Life or anything like that.

When I was a kid, sometime around 94-95 I think, my Dad brought home a bunch of combat flight sims and shareware discs for me from a convention he attended. There was a dos game demo I especially enjoyed. It was a 'spaceship' racing game for lack of a better term. The demo level was a desert canyon. The ships had weapons, however they couldn't destroy anything, they just slowed them down a bit if I remember correctly. Couldn't find this game despite looking a few times. It was some shareware that came on a floppy from a gaming magazine, I think in the mid to late 90's, it was an arthurian themed platformer that was nothing special, and the level I remember most was the outside of a castle. I also don't remember a life bar, but I do remember a lives counter. Do you shrink when you take damage in that game, or was there a previous/beta version with different graphics? I appreciate the help though. I think this one was one I tried and it didn't quite match up with my memory.

An adventure game, it was about a nigger in some black neighborhood, with caricature comic graphics, something happened in the back alley.
It's all that I remember, I had a demo for Win95 and it was in german language.

Lagoon starts with an escort quest set in a somewhat dark dungeon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJViTEsJEbM#t=17m50s
(I don't remember whether the timecode in the link will work on this site so if it doesn't then go to 17:50 or so to see the dungeon.)

What do you mean by "hazy" though? Were translucent clouds floating around?

>2D plataformer
>Somewhat similar to the first Rayman
>On PC (If I recall correctly)
>Jumping twice made you perform a spin attack
>Near the beginning of the game there was a thief that would steal some of your coins
>There was a moment in which (what seemed to be) a pirate float in the background would start firing at you
>Some stages would have multiple front-back layers
>There was a pirate ship stage with skeletons (I believe)

I can't find a game I used to play as a kid :
PC game, probably mid 90's
Top down spaceship shooter where the "levels" were your computer's folders and the ennemies the various files in them. It did NOT actually erase the files (there is a game like that, but it's not this one)
Basically Asteroids but with a bit more detail, colors, several different ship designs (I remember one being called "The UFO" which was a saucer with little skull in the middle), and shooting desktop icons.

I don't really want to replay it but it annoys me that I can't remember what it was.

PC game, late 90s-early 2000s, it was on a medieval setting, it was like a strategy game where the map was initially black and you could use your units to slowly uncover it, I recall an in-game hint that mentioned that horses were bad for battle but good for exploration. It had several scenarios and at one point you controlled Joan of Arc (?).

There's a Dragon Ball game for Famicom that superficially looks like Zelda a lot of the time. Goku is an anime boy, not a monkey, but he does have a tail. Furthermore when this game was translated to English they replaced Goku's face with a monkey face for some bizarre reason, in order to create their own original dopey-looking monkey hero. That version of the game was called Dragon Power.

So, is that what you're thinking of??

right, so this was some shareware windows game, came in those 100000 apps and games CDs from magazines:

I believe it used the art from the windows card games, but it played like some sort of war strategy game, where each card represented a platoon, or something of the sort.

the game might've had "empire" in the name
