That's what I love about it. I thought SotN was waaaay too easy but Circle of the Moon was incredible. Actually, this is weird but it was the first Castlevania game I ever played. It set the standard for me and then when I played SotN afterwards I thought "it's pretty, but it's too easy" and when I played Classic Castlevania I thought "this is nice and challenging, but I miss exploring".

It's a fun game, gets really fucking savage at times and the RNG for the cards is annoying, but I still have a fondness for it, but it doesn't belong here.

The only reason why the rules are fucking retarded as they are now is because the dipshit userbase whined for 5th gen to be included because they were also released in the 90s. Retro on this board being defined as everything up to the end of the 90s was so any games released on older systems during the 5th generation would still be counted, slack jawed dipshits twisted that to include 5th gen consoles instead and now we have games released post 2000 allowed to be discussed despite that not making sense due to the 90s cutoff. Similar idiots also whined to have the Dreamcast included because it was also technically released pre2000 and that has given 6th genners a precedent to justify their whining for the inclusion of 6th gen consoles as retro. This board was perfectly 100 percent fine with sane logical rules before the 3D autists ruined goddamn everything.
