What are the easiest versions of the 2D MK games that can be beaten from start finish because I hate the broken AI

>> No.6305767

>>6305742
None.

>> No.6305774

The ai has easy ways to be exploited, just do some research. If you don't wanna use those you might as well accept that after getting far enough you will get your ass handed to you. The games are so much more fun with friends anyway.

Thank you for disappointing me because I would've given them a another chance you prick

UMK3 on Snes seemed a bit less unforgiving than the arcade/genesis imo.

Playing with friends to me kind of sucks. Not because you'll have trouble finding someone you know to play with, but you'll always have trouble performing special moves or fatalities unless you memorize it all

>> No.6305787

>>6305781
I might think about this, but not for now

Yeah slow cpu.

Anyway novice tower mode is easy.

Anyway they're carny games, cheating skip frames, moves and throws out of nowhere, etc.

>> No.6305818

>>6305783
I admit the fatalities are pretty hard to remember but the handful of special moves for each characters are really not. Just write them down and have them next to you while playing.
Also how is that more of a problem when playing with friends than playing vs. the cpu?

>> No.6305825

Also subzero is easy to master.

>> No.6305830

>>6305818
This
Maybe it just depends on the character and their move inputs.
Playing against the cpu is a big deal. But playing against another person is something different, but not worse than playing against the cpu. It's probably because they won't understand what's going on

Fighting the AI in fighting games is a hollow, shitty experience at every level. If you just want to see the endings, put it on easy. A retarded child with parkinsons could beat MK on easy. Don't bother trying to make it challenging because the AI is terrible and beating it at higher levels is all about exploiting it and doing the same couple things over and over.

If you actually want to play Mortal Kombat just get MK9 and learn that. It still has players online.

Depending on the game, I absolutely love playing against fighting game AI and you're not gonna stop me
But when it comes to MK, I only prefer playing the games from MK4 and onward

>> No.6306014

>>6305906
No I won't call you a retard, you enjoy what you want to. I will I admit that I dislike it more than the average but to me it really does feel completely hollow. Fighters to me are all about trying to out think and strategize how to mash your opponent. It's like playing chess against a computer, it just doesn't feel the same.

I also tend to advocate against it in general because if you do want to fight against real players as well, beyond learning the basic mechanics of specials and combos, playing the AI a lot tends to build bad habits. But, do whatever you find fun. It's a game after all.

None of them. These games are bullshit in singleplayer.

>> No.6307157

Anything with Sheeva. Her teleport stomp is easier to exploit on AI than even the dive kicks.

>> No.6307159

Lol that Sub player was complete garbage. Throwing out unsafe specials at that range over and over he deserved to get mashed like that. Beating MK AI isn't really that hard it's just super boring.

>> No.6307162

>>6307159
The point was it's absolutely impossible for a human player to activate Jade's projectile shield that fast. The AI does it literally the instant the opponent finishes the input for whatever projectile special, it's literally reading your input.

>> No.6307165

>>6307162
Yeah their AI has always done that. It basically has to cheat to be any challenge at all because AI sucks. MK is worse than most but all fighters especially retro ones pull these tricks. It's why playing against the computer is such a hollow shitty experience and the skills you learn to cheese the AI don't translate well to fighting real people. So it's a waste on every level.

That sub player still sucks trying to throw out ice ball after ice ball seeing what the AI was doing.

The easiest version by far is Ultimate MK3. If you select Rain, you can use the lightning special move to send your opponent into the air, then do 2-3 round house kicks and finish them with an uppercut. Rain's roundhouse kick sends the opponent flying and they wrap on the other side of the screen so you can link several of them in a row.

You can also use the sphere special move to stun your opponent and pull him towards you, then do a jump punch or kick into them, and simply button-mash the two punch buttons and you will do a combo. Maybe you start the combo with a kick, I don't remember, but you should figure it out with simple button-mashing, or just look it up on the internet. As a little kid, I was able to beat the entire game on the hardest difficulty with these three things - lighting/roundhouse/uppercut combo, sphere special attack+button mash combo, or just jump attack into them and do a button mash combo
