It was going to be Nintendo Ultra 64, which does sound like an upgrade from Super, but at the same time, sounds very over-the-top.
Nintendo 64 is more minimalist and also makes more emphasis on the 64-bit, like "Look, we're not fooling you with extra words, this is true 64-bit".
IIRC, the suggestion for Nintendo to drop the Ultra name and use Nintendo 64 was by Shigesato Itoi, the creator of Earthbound.

Not vr but you should check out Gravity Rush 1 and 2. They were inspired Moebius and are the closest thing you're going to get to a Moebius game. It's an absolutely beautiful art style especially 2.

Also Panzer Dragoon remake might be cool.,
